GREATER BEAR CREEK AREA RESOURCE PLAN

Adams and Hancock County landowners have teamed up to develop a natural resource plan for the lands draining into Bear Creek and the Mississippi River between Carthage and south of Quincy. The resource plan will help residents of the watershed in protecting water quality and soil productivity, as well as improving wildlife habitat and timber resources. Residents and landowners in the Greater Bear Creek area (see map below) are encouraged to contact their local Soil and Water Conservation Districts or USDA-NRCS office for more information.
